The Weldclass Promax GP is an easy-to-use, all-positional welding rod for mild & galvanised steels, supplied in a 1kg re-usable convenience pack to keep electrodes in good condition. I consider myself to be a pretty crappy welder, and I do not weld the best class of steel, but from my first use of the 2.0 mm rods on slightly rusty ( yes I did give it a quick clean) my results were way above my expectations. I welded 1inch gal pipe to a 2inch square tube for a good strong join.

My fabrication and welding skills are "OK", but I always seemed to struggle to get some welds done properly. This is the first time I have used these electrodes and it was much, much easier than the other electrodes I have used. They even make my welds look professional.

having just built a tandem boat trailer using these rods in 3.2mm l can say that these rods are very easy to use, easy to start, the weld pool is easy to see watching the slag pushed back as l welded, most welds the slag peeled back as l welded

Just previously started using weldclass products and am absolutely stunned with the promax go steel welding electrodes. Takes about 95 amps with the stick welding I have been using but would love to get a weldclass welder but isn't available right now as it's just to much for me right now. Definitely recommend to friends, family and others that are looking for high quality products and stock for the workshop!

Comments: Product enclosed in plastic holder and plastic wrap. This meant rods were dry and performed well. Good arc stability on metal with some slight rust and light galv coating. Weld presented well with easy clean up. (Slag came away clean). I will be looking for and buying these again if I can.

Comments: I have a very old welder 15amp running on 10am supply. I previously have found Satin craft a good choice. These rods are much better easy to strike up, easy to maintain flow and good fill with poor match up. Best I have had in 29 years of welding with this welder.
