FITTING THESE TORCHES TO OTHER MACHINE BRANDS / MODELS:
- Control Plug Connection
- While basic TIG torches with manual gas-valve or basic on/off switch are usually interchangeable with different machine brands/models…
- Torches with amperage adjustment are more complex & not so straightforward when it comes to trying to fit “brand X” torch to “brand Y welder”
- This is because the control plug is often different from one machine model/brand to another.
- If existing plug on the old/existing torch is in good condition, this can be re-used and fitted to the replacement torch… however;
- Torches with remote amperage adjustment have/require multiple wires
- This means that the wires in the new torch will need to be match to the correct pins on the existing plug. This may require obtaining & consulting plug/control wiring information for the machine
- Customers are welcome to try to adapt Weldclass torches to other machines, however Weldclass does not guarantee success. For best results we recommend trying to source the original torch from the machine manufacturer first.
- Gas Connection
- Again, different machine brands/models will use different gas connections
- Refer to description against the specific Weldclass torch for info on gas connection (go to "Details" tab on this page)
- If 5/8” UNF connection is required, this fitting is available as a separate item - part no P4-RHHCK
- Power Cable "Dinse" Connection
- Most machines 200 Amps & above will have large "35-50" connectors. The Weldclass torches listed on this page are all fitted with "35-50" connectors.

The torches listed on this page are configured for use on specific Weldclass machines as indicated. Torches with advanced "remote amperage controls" have more complex connections. Please read following information first before purchasing these torches for fitting to a different brand or model machine;
1) Control Plug Connection
