FAQs:

Why hook & loop closure, instead of press studs?
> Press studs are prone to tearing out - this is because the force of opening the stud is concentrated on the small area of material it is attached to, and this gradually becomes fatigued every time the jacket is opened/closed. This is especially problematic for FR material, where the material is not as thick/dense as leather.
> Preventing this requires adding layers of reinforcement material which adds unnecessary weight and cost to the garment.
> Studs also conduct heat (& electrical current) and require insulating.
> Studs do not provide complete closure, the gaps between each stud can be penetrated by spatter, sparks, etc.
> Use of hook & loop keeps the garment as light as possible, and provide a better seal against spatter/sparks.

As I am getting older I feel it is about time I thought about looking after 75 year old skin. The leather apron doesn’t cut the mustard anymore. Very comfortable and I don’t feel restricted at all. 17/04/23 5:44 PM

Love the sleeves, the way it protects my neck, make great use of the pen pocket on the sleeve.
Jacket is too short for me though. I'm 186cm tall and it barely goes low enough for a jacket for my height.

As someone who works in the welding industry, I'd say first and foremost, the jacket is incredibly comfortable to wear. The cotton material is soft and breathable, which is important when working in hot and humid conditions. The adjustable collar is also a great feature, as it allows me to customize the fit to my liking, and it helps to prevent any unwanted debris or sparks from getting inside the jacket. The pen pocket and internal pocket are also handy features, as they provide a convenient place for me to store tools and other small items. Overall, I would highly recommend the hi-vis welding jacket to anyone who is in need of a durable, comfortable, and cost-effective option for light to medium protection against welding spatter and grinding sparks. Its many features and high-quality materials make it a great value, and it has certainly made my workdays much more comfortable and enjoyable. 09/03/23 12:19 PM

Great jacket in hi vis to pass all the ohsa requirements on site ,nice and lightweight when compared to welding jackets made of leather perfect in summer, another great feature not overlooked is the Kevlar double stitched Velcro to replace conventional buttons/studs for ease of putting it on and taking it off.
Only thing I could recommend to weldmax would be to add some sort of adjustment in the cuffs on the end of the arms like a velcro strap to be able to tighten the arms around my wrists to avoid flash going up my sleeves and to make it easier to slip inside my leather gloves .
Would recommend to anybody and wouldn't doubt they would purchase after they see that it's well priced also !!
