  • 4-Point waist and shoulder harness (shoulder harness is removable to allow use with waist hardness only)

FUNCTIONS

  • Shade adjustment: Auto (shade level adjusts automatically depending on arc intensity) or Manual (user adjusts), adjust in increments of +/- 0.5
  • Shade Deviation: When using Auto shade, +/- deviation (fine adjustment) can be adjusted in 0.1 increments to up +2.0/-2.0
  • Welding mode: Variable shade 9-14
  • Cut mode: Variable shade 4-8
  • Shade Lock: Switches off auto-darkening function & locks lens to a selected shade level (4-13), ideal for oxy cutting & similiar processes where conditions may not be ideal for normal auto-darkening function
  • Memory: Save up to 9 favourite settings (recalls shade, sensitivity & delay settings), with ‘instant save’ function on external controls
  • Delay (switching time from dark back to light after welding stops): Auto or Manual 0.1-1.0s
  • Gradient Mode: Gradual return (slope down) from dark to light, mirrors cooling of the weld pool to reduce eye strain
  • Sensitivity: Auto or Manual 0-9 settings
  • Tack Mode: Returns to shade 5 (instead of shade 3) between welds to reduce fatigue
  • Respirator airflow speed adjustment: 170, 200, 230 L/min

It has an awesome view window, the flip up visor has a nice overcentre spring setup that prevents it from dropping down inadvertently. The side windows allow for good situational awareness in your peripheral and doesn’t make you feel closed in. Overall very comfortable and doesn’t fog up in cold weather thanks to the good amount of airflow provided by the respirator. A great product overall.

Comments: The various parts look to be very well made. The unit is easy to assemble, easy to put on and adjust, and feels very comfortable. I have charged the battery and run some initial tests. The visibility is good and the unit is neither heavy nor restrictive. I like the idea of the Air Flow Meter and have found that the unit is effective for both dust and fumes. I am very happy with my purchase and believe that it represents excellent value for money as well being a great investment for my long term health.
