Model Identification Guide for Tweco (& Magnum) Style MIG Torches

Use this guide to identify a specific model of Tweco style MIG welding gun. Note that this covers the more common Tweco style torches used - Less common models may not be shown.

Tweco 1 / Magnum 100L Style (150 Amp)

 

 

  1. Has screw-on self-insulated copper gas nozzle approx. 57mm long - Or - a screw-on black 'gasless' nozzle approx. 42mm long
  2. Copper Nozzle normally has numbers stamped into nozzle starting with "21..."
  3. Contact Tip is 25mm long with 1/4in UNF (approx 6mm) thread

 

 

Tweco 2 Style (200 Amp)

 

  1. Has push-on gas nozzle approx. 80mm long
  2. Normally has numbers stamped into nozzle starting with "22..."
  3. End of the Neck has a female thread
  4. Contact Tip is 38mm long with 1/4in UNF (approx 6mm) thread

 

 

Tweco 4 Style (400 Amp)

 

  1. Has a push-on nozzle approx. 87mm long - Or - a screw-on nozzle approx. 45mm long
  2. Normally has numbers stamped into nozzle starting with "24..."
  3. End of the Neck has both a male and female thread
  4. Contact Tip is 38mm long with 1/4in UNF (approx 6mm) thread
