Weldclass Donates $500 to Children’s Cancer Institute

This Christmas, we decided to do something different...

We invited our distrubutors across Australia to nominate a charity that we could donate $500 to, as part of Weldclass' regular & ongoing charity support program.

We're pleased to say we ended up with a long list of worthy charities that our distributors were keen to support.

We then put them all in a box and randomly drew a name out. The winner was Robert Johnson from Johnson Bros Hardware in Mona Vale, who nominated.....

In Robert’s explanation for his nomination he quoted that "I lost my niece to cancer when she was only 9".

Children’s Cancer Institute is the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to putting an end to childhood cancer.

"We are curing childhood cancer. It’s not if. It’s when."

Their state-of-the-art labs are part of the world-renowned Lowy Cancer Research Centre at UNSW Australia, which also house the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) Drug Discovery Centre.

Research is revolutionising how children with cancer are treated and community support is vital.
