FAQs:
Why hook & loop closure, instead of press studs?
> Press studs are prone to tearing out - this is because the force of opening the stud is concentrated on the small area of material it is attached to, and this gradually becomes fatigued every time the jacket is opened/closed. This is especially problematic for FR material, where the material is not as thick/dense as leather.
> Preventing this requires adding layers of reinforcement material which adds unnecessary weight and cost to the garment.
> Studs also conduct heat (& electrical current) and require insulating.
> Studs do not provide complete closure, the gaps between each stud can be penetrated by spatter, sparks, etc.
> Use of hook & loop keeps the garment as light as possible, and provide a better seal against spatter/sparks.

Comments: I’ve had this jacket for almost 2 years. I’m surprised how long it’s lasted with almost daily work with 100s of hours welding. Hardly any splatter holes, Velcro is holding up really well. I would have given it a 10 but the neck Velcro is finally starting to degrade. I later bought a weld class pro max 350 helmet and an attachable rear shroud because I was so happy with the jacket. (Although now all in blue I look like someone out of Star Wars)

It's a comfy jacket that offers flexibility and durability, the added leather sleeves make it so much better at handling high temps such as oxy cutting or heavy mig welding but due to being a flame resistant cotton for the majority of the jacket it doesn't weigh you down like a full leather would.

I had this jacket for almost a year now still going i i h a pro jacket before that and to compare the two the leather on weldclass is much thicker and i like the Velcro more than the buttons and this looks great i had people complementing how awesome this jacket looks i i wou definitely recommend for anyone that is looking for a welding jacket

I would recommend this jacket I have used several other brands before this jacket is much more comfortable and cooler than others the Velcro strap around the front of the neck is a great feature and stops any spark or slag from going down the front of you the stud buttons around the wrist is great aswell like to see an extra stud there aswell if one was to fail . Overall excellent product

Yes I would. Love the fabric on the inside of the sleeves. Have gone through about 4-5 of them and would stick using them. They take a beating and still perform well out in the field.
